Terms of Service & Cancellation Policy

1. Provider
These terms govern your use of AppCV (appcv.io), operated by Anna Balyabina (the “Provider”, “we”, “us”). Full operator details are in our Impressum.
2. The service
AppCV provides AI-assisted CV analysis, ATS optimisation and rewriting, a CV builder, and personalised job matching. A free tier is available. Paid (“Pro”) plans unlock higher usage limits and additional features.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. The service is intended for users aged 18 or over.
4. Prices and payment
Pro is offered on a monthly, quarterly, or annual subscription. The applicable price and billing period are those displayed at checkout, inclusive of statutory VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by Stripe. New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial; you will be charged automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
5. Renewal and cancellation
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal on your Account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period, and you retain Pro access until then. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for the unused part of a period, except where required by law (see the withdrawal right below).
6. Right of withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day the contract is concluded. To exercise it, send us a clear statement (e.g. an email to support@appcv.io) of your decision to withdraw.
Early expiry of the withdrawal right for digital services
AppCV is a digital service that is made available to you immediately. By starting to use a paid feature during the withdrawal period, you expressly request that we begin performance before the 14-day period ends, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. Where the service has only partly been performed, you owe a proportionate amount for what was provided up to your withdrawal. You confirm this consent and acknowledgement at checkout.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service — including automated scraping, attempts to circumvent usage limits, uploading unlawful content, or reselling the output as an automated service. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or the underlying AI cost limits.
8. AI-generated content
AppCV uses AI to analyse and rewrite CVs and to match jobs. Output may contain inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing it before use. We do not guarantee interviews, job offers, or any specific ATS score.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and under mandatory law (including the German Product Liability Act). For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we will notify you of material changes. German law applies, with the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remaining unaffected.
